Happy friday

Peek-a-boo, wishing everyone a very happy friday.

I’m sharing two thoughts from Ellen DeGeneres (american Comedian)

“Here are the values that I stand for: honesty, equality, kindness, compassion, treating people the way you want to be treated and helping those in need. To me, those are traditional values.”

“We focus so much on our differences, and that is creating, I think, a lot of chaos and negativity and bullying in the world. And I think if everybody focused on what we all have in common – which is – we all want to be happy.”

I rate these thoughts highly useful and beautiful. What do you think?

Ah, and the following quote from her is so kind. Ellen DeGreneres seems to be a wonderful person.

“Most comedy is based on getting a laugh at somebody else’s expense. And I find that that’s just a form of bullying in a major way. So I want to be an example that you can be funny and be kind, and make people laugh without hurting somebody else’s feelings.”

  1. Yes, these are great sentiments. I think I agree with her entirely. I often think that comedy is often nothing more than gaining popularity at someone else’s expenses. A bad trait of humanity. It is goes further than bullying. It is putting your own needs in front of others. Like I said, a bad trait of humanity. We should treat people as we want to be treated. That starts with putting other peole first.

    • Not every comedy is bad. There are many funny situations and aspects of life. But as she says, it should be respectful and not harm others. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Have a nice weekend.
